    Hi

Over the past 24 hours, the website page that keeps all the fixtures and results just keeps failing to load for anyone the majority of the time (tried 4G, 5G, wi-fi, mobile, desktop and different browsers, and cleared cache both from wordpress and on devices).

The only thing that has changed on the website is that we have added more results. I have tried ticking and unticking the pagination option to split up the content thinking there might just be too much on the page, but makes no difference at all.

All other pages on the website (https://www.palefoxesports.com) work no problem at all and we don’t get this error.

    Could anyone please advise?

    Thanks, Dave ??

…. EDITED to add that the individual event pages load fine (example: https://palefoxesports.com/event/pale-fox-esports-vs-ecp-academie/)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @esportswebsite01,

The fixture-results page returns a 500 error. The HTTP error status code 500 is a generic error response. It means that the server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request.

How many events the fixtures-results page is trying to show? Can you try to show less and try again? For example show only the games of a specific team for a specific period of time, that will return around 4-5 events. If the 4-5 events will show up, then your issue is limited server resources.

    Thanks,
    Savvas

Hey @savvasha – thanks for the reply!

I might be getting this wrong, but the only option I had was to select pagination or not have it selected. I have it set to 10 events, and it made no difference and the page loaded all results anyway (100+).

I’m not really sure how to solve it as I’m not massively techy and nor can I see settings elsewhere that give me a limit option.

The settings of your calendar can be changed from “SportsPress->Events->Calendars” where you can select and edit the calendar called “Fixtures – Reults”.

If understand correctly, when you set the pagination to 10, then the page was working?

    Thanks,

I’ve just followed your path to change the date range and set it to the last ‘x’ days, @savvasha, and have it be relative (assuming that means the last ’30 ‘x’ days rolling). The page now loads and isn’t broken. Thank you!

However, that sort of prevents a visitor scrolling through the archive of our team’s results, which would be a nice feature for them. It also means when a user filters the results to a specific opponent if the match falls outside the x-day range, no matches load. Is there a way of having those two things still available in some way?

You have to ask your server hosting provider to increase your resources…

@savvasha – Ahh okay, that makes sense – thank you so much for your help! Was driving me crazy not being able to figure this out but you’ve been great! Thanks, again!
