Flag of Recurring Event in Demo data

I imported the demo data in the free version.
The demo data event, ‘New England Cannabis Convention’, appears to be already set up as a Recurring Event and is displayed as such in the list view.

When I create an event in the free version with a setting for multiple dates, it is recognized as a Multi Date Event.

I did not see any toggle switch that would set a specific event as a Recurring Event in the ‘New England Cannabis Convention’ demo data, nor in any of my multi-day events.

Is this correct behavior and is this a flag that is only set in the demo data?
Is it still the same that I need the Recurring Event Addon?? to set up a Recurring Event?
