    Your plugin rocks! Thank you.

If you don’t mind, we have one small request … we’d like to change the flag styling you’re using in your plugin. Specifically, you’re using flags with a shadow or “shiny” flags. We’d like to use flags without a shadow (or “flat flags”).

Can you add both flag styles to your plugin? You can add, for example, two check boxes in your plugin. One for flags with no shadow, “Standard Flags (Flat)”, and flags with a shadow, “Decorative Flags (Shiny).”

    Thank you!

    Dear Community,

Until developer responds to above inquiry, thought I’d provide the following procedure to help you incorporate “flat” (in lieu of “shiny”) flags into your website.

    Procedure:

    (1) Per plugin settings, identify the flag size you need (e.g., 16px, 24px, 32px, 48px)

    (2) Search for and download the flag type (“flat”) and size you need. Sample websites that provide this type of flag are: https://www.countryflags.io, https://www.flaticon.com/free-icons/rounded-rectangle-flags

    (3) Rename the downloaded flag icons to suit your needs.

    (4) Create a new folder titled “flat” (we used “24-flat”) and insert it into the following URL path: /wp-content/plugins/gtranslate/flags/

    (5) Upload the flags you renamed in Step (3) into the folder titled “flat” (or “24-flat”)

    (6) Go to GTranslate’s plugin settings, section titled “Widget code (for advanced users)” and change the current URL path of your flags to the new path (e.g., …/24-flat/US.png) as shown here.

    Result: Click here

    That’s it! Hope this helps.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your detailed explanation.

We have plans for adding flat flags option into the plugin, but I cannot provide any estimates.

    Thanks! ??
