  • Yes, you would think that Flash is dead due to all the issues with using Flash, but on one of my client sites their website was not bringing in much in sales. Since the client’s product is visual based I thought I’d try a custom made Flash movie. After adding the Flash movie, Quote requests significantly increased, which lead to sales increases. There are other available ways to “jazz up” a site and add the excitement factor, which leads to sales, but in this case for this client, Flash seemed like the optimum choice to go with.

Website sales revenue before adding the Flash movie 2006, 2007: $10,000 per year.
Website sales revenue after adding the Flash movie 2008 through now 2014: $1,000,000+ per year and increasing each year.
Increase of $990,000+ in sales revenue per year so I guess Flash is not dead afterall.

@danielsmedegaardbuus: I’m curious – if you didn’t want to use Flash, why did you try to use this plugin? Other than using Flash, did the plugin perform OK?

@esmi – Yep, seems like personal rants like this should just be deleted since reviews should only be posted by people who have actually used the plugin. ?? I just happened to see this review while testing this plugin for a conflict with another plugin and found this review to be very odd. Any way thought I would add some factual info regarding my experience with Flash use in 2014. On a personal note, this particular client sends me on a lavish vacation each year as a thank you so if you ask them they would say they love Flash. ??

seems like personal rants like this should just be deleted since reviews should only be posted by people who have actually used the plugin. ??

The downside there is that, due to a technical issue in the review system, the 1 star rating would not get deleted. So, on balance, I think it is better to leave these reviews available but balance them out with a reasoned response. Then at least anyone who is doing their pre-installation homework by checking out the 1-star reviews will get a better overall, objective, picture of the plugin.

I am so jealous! Why can’t I have clients like that? ??

Thanks for that info re: the star rating review system, good to know for future reference. Glad I decided to post what I posted – it seemed like the right thing to do since Flash still has value these days.

This is a very rare client. The rest of them are typical clients – demanding, get it done yesterday, me first, “you got paid, go away now”, etc. ?? LOL
