• Hello,
suddenly I have started to get this exclamation mark icon in my blog.
Instead of displaying a slideshare embedded presentation (and sometimes it happens with the embedded youtube and vimeo videos as well):
    https://blog.lorenzobennassar.com
At first I thought it was a php update problem, then I upgraded to WP version 3.2.1, than I disabled all unnecessary plugins. Oddly enough, now it’s solved when viewing in it in google chrome, but it still sometimes doesn’t work in firefox and it never shows correctly in safari.
(and it’s not an issue of the theme, because, I’ve tryed it with the default “Kirby 0.3.2” theme as well)
Does anybody has any idea why this can be happening?
    Thanks for the help.

You may need to install a flash player plugin (like Viper’s Video Quicktags), because WordPress doesn’t have one anymore. Licensing issues.

    Thanks Ipstenu.
I did try already with “Flash Video Player” By Joshua Eldridge and “WordPress Video Plugin” By Oliver Wunder but it doesn’t work.
And the wierd thing is that it affects sometimes other sites opened in other windows that have nothing to do with my blog (like a vimeo video from somebady else).
I did call a friend somewhere else to ask him to enter my blog and tell me if he was seeing the slideshare presentation, just in case it was a plug in problem from my computer, but he sent me a screen shot and the slideshare presentation was not in it.
    Pretty wierd, isn′t it?

Can you link directly to a post that isn’t working?

Sorry Iptenus for taking so long, but I was swalowed by due dates.
    You can try this one:

Odly enough it now works on Google Chrome and Firefox, but it doesn’t work on Safari (I’m running Safari 5.0.6, and I cannot update because I have Mac OS 10.5.8 and don’t want to upgrade since I would loose Quicktime editing options ??

Safari is doing pretty weird things actually.
The direct link I just gave you has a slideshare presentation embedded, and this one has a Vimeo video:
    https://blog.lorenzobennassar.com/?p=160
    and it doesn’t work either.

Actually … Quicktime 7 is included in Mac OS 10.6 and 10.7 because of QT editing. If you paid for pro, you keep it. I use it daily ??

https://blog.lorenzobennassar.com/?p=160 works for me, but I don’t have Flash installed. It degrades nicely.

    Did you try:
    https://blog.lorenzobennassar.com/?p=473
that one is with and embedded slideshare presentation and slideshare seems to be the one that gives more problems.
I will check out the Quicktime issue that you said. I knew about the pro thing, but thought it didn’t work on MacOS 10.6
    Thanks
