    When I mouseover to my dropdown menu and select an item, my whole menu bar flashes – like it’s trying to open all of the dropdown menu. I have clear all the cache and cookies. I use Elementor with Astra theme. Can someone help?

    Thank you so much.

    You built your menu with the plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/header-footer-elementor/. I would recommend that you contact their support: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/header-footer-elementor/

    I have gone through your webiste and here’s the snippet code of one of the menus

    “.elementor-426 .elementor-element.elementor-element-503b94f .menu-item a.hfe-menu-item:hover, .elementor-426 .elementor-element.elementor-element-503b94f .sub-menu a.hfe-sub-menu-item:hover, .elementor-426 .elementor-element.elementor-element-503b94f .menu-item.current-menu-item a.hfe-menu-item, .elementor-426 .elementor-element.elementor-element-503b94f .menu-item a.hfe-menu-item.highlighted, .elementor-426 .elementor-element.elementor-element-503b94f .menu-item a.hfe-menu-item:focus “

    now the flashing issue here likely involves styles applied with Elementor to a specific menu element when they are hovered over, selected, or focused.

    So try to temporarily disable animations on the menu item and see if the flashing stops.

    @milesweb I don’t have any animation on my menus. But in case I accidentally turn it on, where can I find it? so far I looked at “Link Hover Effect” – it is NONE for main menu as well as dropdown menu. I also checked “Motion Effects” under Advanced tab and it is also OFF.

    another place I can check?

    Thanks!

    @webqueenhtc,
    Elementor page builder; have animation settings within Elementor itself. Open the menu you want to edit in Elementor and look for options related to hover effects, animations, or transitions. Hope so, it will show if there are any animations included by mistake.

    I have no animations added. I believe it is now resolved from this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/flashing-dropdown-menu-2/#post-17529245

    @bsfherman suggested for me to turn off my cache plugin. I did that and it seems to work. I just need to find a different cache plugin.
