    Hi Guys.

I set up two shipping options in Woocommerce. the first is a Flat Rate option that charges $9 to ship anywhere in Australia

The second is a Free Shipping option that kicks in when the value of the order exceeds $150.

However, when I tested the checkout in real time by placing an order of $180, both the Flat Rate and Free Shipping rate options appear. And the Flat rate sits above with the radio button on. So customers have been charged shipping even though they qualify for Free Shipping.

Some smart cookies realise they can click on Free Shipping however Flat Shipping shouldn’t appear at all. And there is no way to set a Flat Rate Shipping price limit so that it automatically is remove at the dollar value that Free Shipping kicks in.

    Anyone know the work around?

    Thanks seank123

    The functions.php snippet worked.

Still not sure why this can’t be incorporated into the software from the beginning.

    Appreciate you prompt response.

    Hi @logozuu

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you’ve setup two shipping options on your site: (1) Free shipping when an order exceeds $150 and (2) Flat Rate amounting to $9. However, when an order is amounting to $180, both shipping options are displayed with Flat Rate checked by default, hence, customers are being charged instead of availing the Free Shipping. And, you would like that the Flat Rate option be hidden when an order meets the Free Shipping requirement, is this correct?

By default, this is the expected behaviors:

    • Both shipping options will be displayed regardless if a condition was met
    • Flat Rate will be displayed first, since this is arranged alphabetically

With the help of the code snippet on this link, I believe your problem is already solved, yes?

I will be marking this thread as resolved. Should you have further inquiries, kindly create a new topic here.

    Thanks!
