Flat rate costs

Hi,
I’m using WooCommerce for a site my business is creating for a client, and I can’t quite figure out the Flat Rate Shipping. The problem is, my boss only wants the shipping to cost an additional .75 per item, so basically the flat rate for the first item ordered, and .75 for any item after that. So basically, if the Flat Rate is $5.00, and two items that cost $10.00 each are ordered, then the total cost would be $25.75…so $20.00 (the two items), $5.00 flat rate cost that applies to the first item, and then .75 for the second item ordered. I know in advance that if setting this up will make the customer actually choose an option for shipping, my boss probably won’t want that, for fear the customer will always choose the cheap option, basically being dishonest. Can anyone help with this?
