Hi! There is something wrong with the latest version, just debugged the issue. I am using the popular flatsome theme. If the loco translate is enabled, the theme is broken, I can’t customize it. If I click on customize button, nothing happens, just blank screen. If i disable the loco translate plugin, it works again.

Using Woocommerce 7.3 and PHP 8.1

    Can you please check it?

Also where can I download older versions?

You can download the previous version 2.6.3 here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/loco-translate/advanced/

I’d be surprised if this fixes your problem, but please let me know.

More likely a translation value is the cause of the error, rather than the plugin itself. To establish the cause of a blank screen requires seeing error logs.(FAQ). There’s nothing I’m able to check for you because on the information you’ve given so far.

My description was not accurate, its not completely blank screen, it’s just almost blank, and customization options (left bar) does not show up. See below. I tried to roll back several versions, and still I have the issue. It’s interesting, because I used loco translate plugin since years with no problem, and now I face with this. Checked error logs, but does not find anything interesting to this I guess. Just such:
mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: ?Constant EMPTY_TRASH_DAYS already defined in /home/www/clients/client2337/web6421/web/wp-config.php on line 98 mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: ?Constant WP_POST_REVISIONS already defined in /home/www/clients/client2337/web6421/web/wp-config.php on line 99

As I say, likely that a translation being loaded (when plugin enabled) is causing different program execution than when not loaded (plugin disabled).

Debug this by keeping Loco Translated enabled and removing (one by one) any MO files being loaded that would not normally be loaded without the plugin.

Thanks! Finally debugged the problematic file, but don’t know how to solve. I deleted all po and mo files one by one in the languages/loco/plugins and theme folder, but nothing helped. But in the root folder (so languages/loco/) there are 3 files only. A hu_hu_backup.po, a hu_hu.po, and a hu_hu.mo. The .mo one, if i delete that, my theme starts working properly again. How to fix this? Do i need the .mo? Or how to create a new, not broken one?

Can you post download links to the hu_hu.po and hu_hu.mo files please.

Sure, Tim. Here you go, these are the 3 files in that folder: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/95p16fueanvwhn5gjmdvm/h?dl=0&rlkey=3j4wacp08hven3yohfdaxmhro

I can see two translations with formatting errors. One is harmless, but the other will cause a fatal error when rendered as per this FAQ.

I can’t say this is the cause of your error, but it would cause one if this string was rendered. Also as the string itself is an error message, you would miss the real error.

As your translations are for WordPress 5.2.x, I suggest you upgrade and/or install the latest community translations which are hopefully free of errors.

Otherwise, just fix the translation shown and see if it solves your problem. It may not, but I don’t have any other suggestions at this point.

Hm, thanks. Where from I can download the 6.1.1 translation? When I install the newer version of WP, I always install the hungarian one, so I don’t get why i still have 5.2.x files. Now i tried to reinstall WP 6.1.1 hungarian, but still…

WordPress installs the correct language pack for your version of WordPress. Help with that topic is outside of the remit of my plugin support.

I’m marking as resolved because I identified an error in your translation file that would cause a fatal error. If you have further questions that are about my plugin, then you are free to reopen the ticket.
