Flawed with WP Cron and awful support

  • I have raised an issue with this plugin and an other one:

    PHP warning every single time the cron runs.

    As a web PHP developer myself for more than 25 years I’ve spent time trying to narrow down the problem and bring them some intels.

    The only answer from the support was basically:
    “that’s not our plugin”.

    I’m not the one who use to complain, specially when you’re given a tool for free like this plugin. But I would expect the support to address the issue and spend at least as much time as myself looking into it.

    Removing this plugin. Thank you for nothing.

    “PHP warning every single time the cron runs.” can be a very misleading statement out of context. You started a clean install and activated this plugin without error, activated the other plugin and saw the error. The results from your investigation has lead me to conclude that the problem lies in the other plugin. The error you posted is the result of something happening prior to this plugin running. I’ll spill out the details in the support thread in a few days if the other plugin developers haven’t responded by then.

    I’m sorry you feel like I didn’t give this any thought. I have just seen that error way too many times before and I know the general cause of it. The code the error is referring to has been in this plugin for the past 6 years. I also have this plugin running on several installations and have not seen any PHP warnings/errors related to this.
