Flexible and powerful for managing groups of users

Very good plugin, which complies at further builds on the existing logic in WordPress. This means it almost feels like a natural extension of WordPress.

I’m using it for an intraweb, where i manage group of clients which have their own info pages etc. All managed by the Groups plugin.

In essence you can make an entire page, post or even custom post types visible to only a specific group. But you can also enclose specific parts of a page with a shortcode defining which group can see that part of the page. And yet another cool behaviour is the fact that a menu point is only displayed if the user is part of the group set on the referring page.

Prepare to have to wrap your head around the plugins concept and work out, but once you do you’ll find it wonderfully flexible.

P.S. I also purchased the authors premium newsletter extension, which makes it easy to mail all members of each group individually. Highly recommended.

Actually I also bought the authors premium forum plugin, but that one is a bit to rough on the edges to work for me as a forum (its more like a string of standard wordpress comments for groups).

Thanks itthinx for making the great Groups plugin, and keep it up. Feel free to release more premium add-ons. – I’m certainly in the market for them ;).
