Flexible and solid WebP support on multisite

  • WebP Express is a highly configurable, robust and flexible plugin, that allows you to convert to WebP images locally, without having to sign up with any third-party service which is nice.

    Tested with WordPress 5.6 multisite and PHP 8.0.0, no issues found. Quite impressed about the multisite compatible .htaccess method of serving WebP images.

    My host only offers the GD extension for conversion, so that’s the only one I was able to try out – but the fact that WebP Express offers ten different conversion methods should make it usable to everyone.

    Found the built-in tips and descriptions very useful.
