Hi! So I installed the Flexible Shipping Fedex plug-in, and when I want to choose a shipping method for a shipping zone, it only shows the 3 default shipping method (flat rate, free shipping, and local pickup). Can anybody help me or point in me in the right direction as to what needs to be done so that it does appear in the list of shipping methods?

    Hello @andresaromeroa,

Our FedEx plugin uses currently only the global shipping method. It means once it is activated:

it will show the shipping live rates for all the products within all the shipping zones. It won’t be selectable from the shipping method dropdown list the same way it is done for default WooCommerce shipping methods. In other words, if configured properly and if the products are in the cart and the shipping address is entered, the plugin will simply display the FedEx rates in the cart/checkout without the need of adding it as a shipping method.

What’s more since it’s a completely separate and stand-alone plugin you can find its dedicated support forum here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/flexible-shipping-fedex/

    Kind regards,

Wow, thank you for the quick answer. Another related question. If global shipping is activated, does this mean that I can’t use FS for one Shipping Zone and another shipping plug-in for another shipping Zone? Basically the idea is to use Fedex FS for all shipping outside the business city, and another local shipping provider used for the shipping within the city of the business.

    Hi @andresaromeroa,

As I mentioned before our FedEx live rates plugin uses only the global shipping method at this moment and it unfortunately doesn’t support the shipping zones yet. It means you won’t be able to choose which shipping zones FedEx services should be available for and which not. However, we plan to add the shipping zones support in the one of the future updates as it was done in our UPS live rates plugin.

Optionally you may also use our FedEx plugin in combination with some 3rd party plugin allowing to hide the shipping methods conditionally if the customer’s address was matched to specific shipping zone.

If you want to offer certain shipping methods for one zone and the different ones for the other, you can use our table rate plugin Flexible Shipping, which this forum is dedicated to or our UPS live rates plugin. Both of them support shipping zones so you will be able to choose where the specific shipping methods should be available for.

    Kind regards,

Since there are no further inquiries concerning this case I’m marking this thread as resolved.

    Kind regards,
