  • Thanks for posting here too. I believe we have been in touch over email more recently.

There is no native way to set the ‘default zoom’, and I believe the ‘flicker’ is caused by a conflict with another plugin (it hasn’t been reported by any other users).

Please do reply to my last email if you are still investigating this.

    Regards,

    Hi
I am having a similar issue
    https://matthewsanger.com/matthew-sanger-cv-pdf/
Did you find a solution for this?
    Thanks

For some reason, it seems your Theme (or possibly another Plugin) is repeatedly firing a ‘resize’ event in Javascript telling everything on the page that it needs to recalculate its size. So the PDF Embedder keeps resizing and redrawing itself, hence the flicker.

It’s probably related to the ‘sticky menu’ feature at the top of the page. You could try turning that off temporarily to see if that fixes the problem.

You might need to ask the Theme author if they know of any workaround for this type of problem.

Feel free to get in touch by email – [email protected] – but I might not pick up a reply to this thread now.

    Thanks,

    Dan

Q2W3 Fixed Widget caused the issue for me.

Just set the Refresh Interval to “0”.

    That fixed it, kmaninaustin
    Many thanks
