  • I’ve modified lines directly in ftp!

stefanozanardipv, what’s the point? I’m running an web-based editor. I’m not sure, do you think it makes any difference?

It’s possible that web-based editor don’t save correctly the changes at file. If you modify on your computer the php file and reupload it to the website so you are sure that the changes are applied. You must do a backup of that file before change it!!!

    1. done a plugin uninstallation first to have a clean config page.
    2. reinstalled Flickr Photostream 3.0.1, activated it.
    3. modified phpFlickr.php via FTP using notepad++, lines 29-31/211. reup.
    4. back in wp-admin, settings > flickr photostream.
    5. 2nd tab, got a new api key
    6. paste api key and user id in settings dialogue, save changes.
    7. page’s loading. and loading. and loading.
    8. blank page as result. re-entering settings, all fields are blank.

    Guess that’s a dead end, right? ??

By the way, where’s the dev??

If you can find a Flickr API key that was generated before May 6 then it’ll work with the unchanged file.

What you can try is to not change line 211 but comment 211 212 and 213 lines with //

furthermore it can be that your servers are not setup properly for SSL, in that case add this line after all these 4 locations, just after lines: 218 425 487 548

    curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false);

I’m not the dev nor affiliated with this plugin, but I made Justified Image Grid in case you were wondering.

Firsh, first thanks for taking care.

Fortunately, I’ve created another API key in 2010. Unfortunately, also that key reports invalidity.

I’ve then tried to add your code underneath the four mentioned lines and added “https” to lines 29-31. After entering my 2010 API key, I receive “There was some problem figuring out your endpoint”.

So I uncommented lines 211-213 but now after pushing “save changes” the page loads indefinitely and ends up with a 500 internal server error message.

    Hello Firsh

    Thank you for you help.
I tried your code and I still have the same problem.

Do you have any other Idea, how the Problem can be fixt?

    hello marimo77,

    I got your problem too..

you should deactivate the plugin and activate back..

    should be ok after that.

With Flickr Photostream 3.1, with the new phpFlickr (v.3.1.1), the problem has been fixed. Thank you for the advices

Using a newly generated API key (May 14). After clicking ‘save changes’, I receive a 500 server error after app. 2 min timed out. Same for the October 2010 API key.

Flickr photostream was newly installed in version 3.1.

    Is there any debug?

I hate to be the partypooper, but I still get an api error, whatever I try. I registered multiple new Api Keys, but none work, I even made a new Flickr account just to get a new working Api Key and it failed. The only thing that changed is that it says No Photos on my website and that the Api Key I get from flickr.test.echo doesn’t work either anymore. When I try to insert a Api Key I continuously get the message:
Invalid values, the settings have not been updated
    API Key is not valid

I’m still having the same issue. When I go to validate my API key it says “API key invalid”. I’ve used multiple generated keys from the App Garden and still no luck.

When I attempt to plug in a photoset it shows up as “No Photos” in the page.

If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic instead of tagging onto someone else’s topic.

    This topic has been resolved.

esmi, I’m not sure I understand the motivation of your message. The issue seems not to be resolved, rather people still report the issue as mentioned at the very beginning. But maybe I do misunderstand the purpose of your post? I apologize, if so.

To support the developer miro.mannino with further information (and at the bottom line to stick on the main issue), I’ve tried to de- and reactivate the plugin and use my year 2010 API key, without success. After saving the config, after a while I still receive the 500 internal server error message.

There’s now a new topic for the same problem with the latest version of the plug-in (version 3.1). No solution has been posted yet.
