Flickr via NextGEN

  • I’ve been ‘google-ing’ this question for a few days now. I’ve seen this asked many times (over the past 5+ years) but have not seen any direct answers/solutions.

    Here’s my issue:
    1) I don’t want photos on our website taking up disk space on our hosting account.
    2) We use Flickr for image storage/retrieval rather than posting them on Facebook and NextGen.
    3) Our custom theme requires using NextGen.

    So, with those parameters in mind…

    I want to create a NextGen GALLERY and have it “full” of Flickr images (virtual).

    Is this possible?

    @lifebridgesoha – NextGEN Gallery (et al.) does not currently support external storage of images for use with the current display types.

    We are still looking at how best to address this idea though, thanks for the reminder.
