    Hi,
I’m using Flickr as our main image repository but I can’t add slides from there.
When I choose that option in the image selector the same pictures I have in the wordpress gallery is shown.

    Best regards
    /Kjell

  • Hi Kjell,

Do you have a link to your slider?

It might not be that Meta Slider is compatible with the plugin you’re using to integrate with Flickr.

    Could you provide more details?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi,
I can fix sliders using the normal WordPress image repository, but I like to use our online repository at Flickr for the slides.
The only way you can see what I mean is to send you images, but for that I need a email address.

I’m using FlickrPress (wp-flickr-press) for connecting to Flickr and it works like a charm for inserting Flickr images in the normal post/page.
When I deactivate the plug-in the alternative for inserting Flickr images disappears in the Meta Slider add slides view.

    Best regards

    Hi Kjell,

    Thanks for the additional information.

It sounds like the Flickr plugin works well with posts and pages by inserting an external link to the Flickr resource.

However Meta Slider relies upon the image being within the WordPress Media Library.

In the Meta Slider Pro version is an ‘External URL’ option for a slide but I’m not sure this will achieve what you’re looking for either as it would need to be added individually.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I understand, and appreciate your plugin. Guess I just have to download the images to WordPress for usage in sliders.

If you’d find the time and effort to try and fix this for future releases I’d be more than happy.

I’ll contact the author of Flickrpress too and check if it’s something in their plugin.

    /Kjell
