Have edited the default twentyeleven theme to suit a design for a mates business where everything dynamically grows and shrinks when you resize the browser window.

However when the window is really narrow/skinny, the content div floating on the right floats down past the image in the background – which is choice.. but I can’t figure out how to make the copyright guff clear that div?!

clear: both; ain’t cutting it this time.

  • Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues.

Create a child theme for your changes. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

or just create a new theme using the base of twentyeleven?

Sorry, should have mentioned that I had already made a new theme using twentyeleven as the base theme. However I still haven’t got any further figuring this out.. Is there any way you can target what div you want to clear?

Ahh fixed it. Managed by swapping absolute/relative positioning with the divs. Cheers!

Hi again kids, got another problem..

    https://www.attn.co.nz/tcl/our-people/
There’s a margin space underneath the central image (black and teal) and cannot figure out why it’s there.

I’m using the default twentyeleven theme header image function for the background as it scales to the size of the browser window. However I think there’s a control somewhere that’s giving the bottom of it a 6px margin.

Any ideas on how to remove it? Cheers
