Floating widget string translations
-
Hi
We have a multi-language website with translations managed by Polylang plugin (supported by WP Chat App according to the description). However not all the strings in the Floating Widget of WP Chat App appear in the String Translation options.
Could you please let me know how I could translate the plugin or have 2 different floating widgets (one for each language)?
Thanks!

Hi @semaguito ,
Thanks for using WP Chat plugin, please note that you need to set each account differently in those two languages.
So, in that case, you can write the Widget texts in those two languages. I hope this helps?
Thank you.
Kind regards,
-Bruce-The plugin needs all the php functions for the translation, example:
<?php echo __('Button Text Color', 'ninjateam-whatsapp') ?>
and not html strings like:
<p class="description">Button Text Color.</p>
A real example of code that is not good to translate is:
<p class="description">You can use shortcode [njwa_time_work] to display the exact time this account is back to work on a working day.</p>
<p class="description">You can use this text to display on days this account does not work.</p>
A greeting.
I left this post 1 month ago but the translation has not yet been solved if it is what you mean, I hope they will solve it in the next update, what if I see complex is to translate the javascript that I do not know what worked It is used in wordpress, but the rest is easy, it takes an afternoon to put the translation functions, waiting for the next update since it is a pity that this plugin is not prepared for translations since it is possibly the best in this field.
Hi @neoset ,
Thanks for pointing that out, please note that it has been fixed in new version which would be released soon.
Kind regards,
-Bruce-Hi
Thanks for your response.
I can setup the different accounts but still there is text which only appears in a global setup, regardless of the account.
I’m referring to the labels in the section: “Whatsapp –> Floating Widget –> Display Settings”.
The fields to translate are the “Widget Text”, “Widget Label” and “Response Time Text”. How can I translate that into different languages? Also on your previous reply, how do I assign each account to a single language?
Thanks for your help!
Hi @semaguito ,
These fields are all customizable:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1llva8GUq2sKuLGc8Wc2W4DUo1-tcU_6L/view?usp=drivesdkDepending on the type of Translation plugin you use, you need to choose a specific language in backend, add a specific WhatsApp account for that choosen language, then go to that settings you mentioned and write the field texts in that particular language you are making settings for; Whatsapp –> Floating Widget –> Display Settings.
“Also on your previous reply, how do I assign each account to a single language?”
==> It depends on the plugin you are using for translation, please learn about that plugin or tell me and I will check the documentation for you.Thank you.
Kind regards,
-Bruce-Hi @ninjateamwp
I’m using Polylang Version 2.8.3 for the translations.
I-ve tried and if I go to Whatsapp –> Floating Widget –> Display Settings and I change the string I’m changing it for all the languanges. Even if I select the one language in the backend first. This plugin Polylang has a section of “String translations” where I can find strings to translate to all the languages different elements of the site, but in the case of this plugin only the “Widget title” (which is the Whatsapp Account Name) is available. The rest of the strings in Display Settings are not available for translation.
Could you please help me to enable the other strings so that I can translate them as well?
Thanks a lot for your help and patience ??
Hi there,
Polylang is supported, first make sure you are using the latest version of Polylang, then just choose the language you want to translate floating widget, go to String translate menu in PolyLang, type the text you want to translate in the fields:

Thank you.
Kind regards,
-Bruce-Hi Bruce
This is exactly what I was referring to since the beginning ??
I do not have in the list all the strings that you have in your list with group “njnteam-whatsapp”. I just have 2 pages of strings and any of them belongs to this group or has the same label or content. The only ones that I have related to the Whatsapp are the Widget Titles which are the account names.
I’ve uninstalled the whatsapp plugin (just in case) and installed again, without success. All plugins updated to the latest version (Polylang to v Version 2.8.3 and Whatsapp to version 2.0). The languages I’m trying to translate to are Spanish and Catalan. I can manually do the translation but I don’t know where to find these strings to translate them.
Is there anything I should enable of disable to make the visible?
Thanks
Hi Bruce
Here you have a snapshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1s1U4vVPR3HgPQT_Nxt9ghMOwkhfQc1zf/view?usp=sharing
As you can see any string from ninjateam is available to translate. It’s sorted by Group name, the rest are from Avada (which is the template Im using).
The strings named ¨Widget Title¨ are the Account names of Whatsapp. But there is nothing else of Whatsapp available to translate.
Do you know what could be the issue?
Thanks!

Hi @semaguito ,
Did you already set a WhatsApp account in “Espanol” and can you check the second page of that screenshot you sent?
Let me know.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
-Bruce-Hi Bruce
Yes I checked.
Here you have screenshots of all this:– Whatsapp setup with Spanish (Espanol) selected:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x0Nm1jdmYiVIgIB8XooT5rG-UAVBGOeA/view?usp=sharing– Detail of the edition screen of the account in Whastapp with same language: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tFmj6yTyxwBSXXATq-QJBOBabgVSHyZH/view?usp=sharing
– Second page of the strings: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fJsI1YeC8LXQnUd8I7IWTdc0IPPT8rVV/view?usp=sharing
As you can see, the setup is done in Spanish but there is no string to translate.
Please let me know how do you think I could fix this.
Thanks!
