    I’ve had my site (www.SurfSunSea.com) up for a little over 2 months. I’ve seen an increase in visitors from Search, but my traffic is extremely low on my site. I’m only ranging in the 30 to 40 hits per day. Not so happy about that. What’s really strange though is that I get spikes every two weeks or so that lasts for a day or two. When I was trending 20 per day, I’d get a spike up to 70 for a day. the when I was trending at 30 per day, I got a spike of 64 for a day. Recently I as trending at 40ish per day and I got a drop to 28 for a day, then 44, 54, 70, 102, 144. I got excited thinking, ok maybe now I’ll start getting better traffic. No I’m back to getting poor traffic results. I’m wondering what can b happening? Why is traffic so low and why do I get false hopes that traffic will improve? Is it normal to get such poor traffic?

  • Newer sites tend to fluctuate more in the rankings until you establish some authority with the search engines. This fluctuation will typically continue for about the first 6 months, but it can last longer or shorter.

    Continue to post quality unique content and eventually the rankings should begin to stabilize.
