Hi there, we’re looking to use this on various client sites as a replacement to the Fly Dynamic Image Resizer plugin. Out of the box this appears to work correctly with no changes. However, I’m trying to test out the focal point functionality, but whenever I select a focal point and update the image, the focal point is never saved. So when I revisit the image, the focal point is always set back to the default 50% 50%. Any ideas?

    Hi,

are you sure you’ve clicked on “Save focal point” button?

If so, then open console and let me know what JS errors you can see, because that will be some plugin conflict with your theme or another plugin.

Thanks for the quick response. Ah yes within the console I can see there’s an admin-ajax 500 post error. I’ll deactivate other plugins and see what could potentially be causing this.

Then you should activate WP debug, save some focal point and check the generated debug.log – there you will be able to see where exactly is the problem

Thanks, that’s helped me get to the bottom of the issue. There was a fatal error with another function that was using the “attachment_fields_to_save” filter. Can confirm it’s now working as expected. Looking forward to using this as the replacement!
