    Hi @colomet,

The keywords you fill in are only used within the post-edit screen. They help you “focus” your content on those strings. As you score higher, you objectively increase your chances of being found on those keywords.

Keep in mind that quality content will always be and remain subjectively more important than the keywords. After all, you should be writing for your (returning) visitors that might give backlinks–you shouldn’t write for bots.

    From the Focus Ratings’ documentation:

Use these ratings as guidelines for focused content. You shouldn’t ruin your content just to get a better rating.

I hope this clears that up ?? Feel free to let me know if you have any more doubts!

    thanks.

One last question, the wordpress categories and tags have some semantinc meaning after your plugin installation?

    Hi @colomet,

They always have meaning, even without TSF. WordPress helps setting up linking structures well, especially when your theme automatically links them in your blog posts.

TSF does add structured data, like breadcrumbs, which make use of categories, as shown in the image below.

    Google Breadcrumb display example

Tags are ignored setting up such relations in the meta, but they can help visitors find their way around your site.
