    I’ve been using Yoast (free version) for about 5 years on my WordPress site without issue. Recently, I cannot added a focus keyphase for posts or pages. Sometimes it accepts one letter. I thought I just wait for an update to resolve the issue. But it has been this way for a few months.

    I use the Highend theme.

    I have it on automatic updates, so the latest version is running.

    I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing problem with adding a focus keyphrase for your post and page.

    I was unable to reproduce the described behavior in my local test environment.

    Please provide the answers to the following:

    • Have you performed a conflict check? If not, please do so. Did you discover a conflict?
    • Does the issue occur when using a default theme with only Yoast SEO active?
    • Is the issue specific to a certain part of your site, like posts, products, categories, etc?
    • Does the issue happen for specific content types, like new, existing, imported content?
    • Does the issue happen for a new post/page with no content?
    • Does the issue occur with the 6.2 version of WordPress? Does updating to the current version resolve the issue?
    • Does the issue occur with a newer version of 20.5 of Yoast SEO?
    • Are you using a supported browser? If so, which browser and version are you using? What browsers and versions does Yoast support?
    • Does it work when using another browser and/or private/incognito mode?
    • Have you cleared your browser cache, cookies, and/or restarted your browser? It sounds intimidating but we’ve got some guides here to walk you through it.
    • Please check the browser console for errors. How to find JavaScript errors with your browser’s console?
