Focus Keyword on homepage

  • How to set a keyword for the homepage.

    Let’s say I have a domain domain.com
    The website provides news about domains.
    My first thought was to set a focus keyword “domain” but this word is written in a lot of links to the articles and as a result is redflagged.

    What should I do? set another focus keyword or maybe none?
    Do I not need the focus keyword “domain” because my domainname contains that word?
