Fold Category List and Category Visibility plugins compatible with 2.0?

  • Does anyone happen to know whether the Category Visibility plugin by Kevin McDuffee and the Fold Category List plugin by Rob Schumann are compatible with WordPress 2.0? Aside from Akismet, these are the two plugins I most care about, so I’m reluctant to upgrade if they won’t work.

    Or does 2.0 perhaps have equivalent functionality built in? Maybe I’m not looking in the right place, but the Codex seems remarkably short of information on the differences between 1.5.x and 2.0.

    Another note. The Codex is a community effort, meaning if you wish you are very welcome to contribute an article about the 1.5 – 2.0 differences.

    I can understand the RTFM/try it yourself attitude, but I’m not going to upgrade to 2.0 and then test the plugins, for the reason I gave originally. I’d already checked the compatibility list and found no entries for these two plugins, which is why I asked here. I’m not trying to make more work for anyone, I just thought someone might have already tried them and not yet updated the compatibility list.

    I just found the 2.0 changelog in the codex; I’m not sure why I didn’t find it before.

    OK, so I decided to try 2.0 after all. The upgrade went amazingly smoothly, and the plugins work fine, so I’ll add them to the Codex compatibility page.

    Sorry, didn’t see this thread earlier… For support questions of this (or amy) nature, there is an email in the head of the plugin that will, in almost all situations, get a faster response than posting here, where it may be days before I see it.

    Anyway, there is a new version (1.0b3 – 5 January, 2006) available from the Fold Category List support page that fixes some issues with permalinks under WP2.0. Check your current version and if earlier than b3, be sure to update.
