• Using WP 2.3 on my own server. Over here, i have some pages with “children”. Right now, only “Support” has 2 children or sub-pages. If you click on “Support”, you will see that the 2 subpages are listed under Support. I want these 2 pages to “fold” out from Support. How do i do this?

I do not want to use a plugin. There use to be some code you could place in your php, like is page 1 || is page 2. Does anyone know where i could find that?

OK, so i am looking at the plugin and according to the 2.3 plugin compatibility list, it may not be working with 2.3. Anyone offer some help on how to get either a “fold” or JS menu?

I’m not real sure what is meant by “fold”
I’ve looked at your link and I see the children links under support but I’m not clear on what it is you want to do with them.
If you could post a link to an example that might help.

I would like it (Support or anyother page that has children) to fold out or to “expose” the children. You roll your mouse over “Support” and another menu is shown. Something like this

The only method I know of offhand is to use a plugin.

Look in the forums for a link to the updated version of WP-dTree 3.0

I used a dhtml script on one of my sites, but I found that the larger it gets, the slower it loads. When the js file got to about 15 kilobytes, I have over 3,000 html pages on that site, people started emailing me claiming my site locked up their computers.

There was no lockup, the pages simply took around 30 seconds or more to load.

So I dumped that one for a better one at:
    https://www.twinhelix.com

    called FreeStyle Menu.

I use it at the top of my crestar site and in my blog:
    Crestar

I see what you’re wanting now.
The way your menu is arranged will make a dropdown menu difficult without using JavaScript. If you drop down from your “Support” link it will probably expand and make your page look bad. You’ll need the other links to pop-out or fold-out to the side of the word “Support”.
This isn’t too difficult. You’ll need to Search for JavaScript Drop Menus.

    @samgreen-
Could you email me at carnold5 at(nospam) gmail (nospamDOT) com. I am trying to use this same JS and am having some issues. Thanks

    okay. Email on its way.

But I’ll mention, before I get more requests, the author of FreeStyleMenu, mentioned above, provides support via his forums. He lives in New Zealand.

I’m not all that good with javascript.
