Before purchasing the plugin/extension I need to know:

Does the person uploading the documents on the frontend have the ability to choose which folder they’re uploading to?

I will have 3 different pages on my site that feature an instance of SFL, but they each wil contain and display completely different files on each page. For example, one page will display “meeting notes” and users will use the front end upload feature to upload meeting notes files. Another page will display “reports” and users will upload reports via the front end.

Is this all possible via the front end upload feature and have different file lists on different pages? So if the user goes to the “reports” page and uploads a report, there won’t be any files mixed in with the “meeting notes” files from the other page?

    Thanks

Yes, this is certainly possible. You will create three folders and use the shortcode to display each on a different page. Uploads will go to the folder specified.

Hi, I purchased the folder add on. It doesn’t seem to like me having more than 1 instance of the plugin per page. Please see: https://www.cvfrc.org/programs/cvca/ it will load the uploader on the left side but not the right. Am I doing something wrong? Left side is supposed to be for one folder, the other side for a different folder.

Here’s what it looks like for logged in users who have access to the front end upload:

Correct. You can have multiple file lists per page, but nothing more. The first list (page loading order) can have full features, but the rest will only be files.

I’m not sure I fully understand. So that means only 1 front end uploader per page? I can’t have 2 file lists with their own separate front end uploader on the same page?

    Correct

Is there any way around this? How can I have 2 lists on 1 page each displaying different lists from each other, that front end users can upload files into?

You could use I-Frames. This would involve creating theme pages which load WordPress, but not the theme. You then load these as frames on your main page. Each frame then has it’s own URL, so the lists would be independent.

I’d like to add this as a feature request, the ability to have more than one front end uploader per page.

    Okay, will do.
