I have been doing a manual import of folders. I have tons of images with tons of subfolders. Is there a limit to how many folders I can import, galleries I can make, or images I can import? All of a sudden, I keep getting the message when I import a folder “Could not import folder. No images found”. I have confirmed that the images do exist there. I wonder if that is a false error message and that I have somehow reached a limit of the number of folders I can import.

  • Hi,

I have exactly the same issue for a specific folder.
    I can not understand …

@heddle – That is a very odd issue but it could be you have reached a limit in some fashion … is this a Multisite installation? or, perhaps the file permissions somehow are not correct for them to be “read”?

@hephoto – This may be a different issue that happens to have a similar message, it would probably be best to start your own topic unless the above applies.

    Thanks!

This is a single install on a local server. All permissions are what they need to be. I solved it by “creating” a folder of the same name and location, then refreshing thumbnails. It recognized the images and created new thumbnails. I don’t know why certain folders would not import.

@heddle – I’m glad you sorted out your installation … did you notice any consistencies with the folders you could not import from? Possibly a naming convention, or maybe special characters in the names?
