Folder named ‘contact-form-7.bk’

  • Hi all,

    Thanks in advance for the excellent plugin, and the help.

    There is a Folder in ‘wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7’ that is named ‘contact-form-7.bk’. It is present in 4 of 5 of my wordpress sites.

    It cannot be opened or deleted, and is listed as ’empty’.

    1) Did ‘contact form 7’ create this folder?
    2) if so, what is it’s purpose?
    3) What will happen if I get my host to delete it, and if it is deleted will it automatically be re-created?

    Thank-you very much for the reply and the on-point and succinct answer.

    And thanks again for the great plugin

    However, I made a mistake in my question that is misleading.
    The ‘contact-form-7.bk’ folder is in the regular plugins folder ‘wp-content/plugins/’ and not inside the ‘contact form 7’ folder.

    Does this change any of your answers?
