• I’m a complete amateur. At the bottom of every page, directly under my content, it says “foldername not found.” I can’t find how to remove it. Even when i change themes, it is there. PLEASE HELP! Can someone explain, step by step, what i need to do?

Sorry about the late reply…I updated my MS Outlook and just found out my RSS feeds for support were gone.

Regarding your issue, it looks like that is actually in your page at the end of the content. Open your page in the admin and look at the content to see if it’s there.

Thank you for responding!! I tried that and that is not the issue. It is even on one of my pages that has no content at all. I’ve removed the content and it is still there. ?? I’m stuck

This one is definitely a mystery and I know this is not related to the theme, so let’s see how we can troubleshoot this…

    Are you using Godaddy hosting?
Do you remember at what point in time this suddenly appeared?
What happens if you disable all your plugins, does it then disappear?
    How did you install WordPress?

By the way, I noticed that your menu links have index.php in the URL:

    https://skylifepartyrentals.com/index.php/need-to-know/

This could be related to the problem. I see in the source code some link paths have that while others don’t.

It has been there since the beginning but I honestly don’t remember when or what I was doing when it first showed up. I bought my domain through GoDaddy but I am using HostGator to host.
I have diabled all my plug ins except my ERS plugin because I have to use that for the store portion of my site.
I installed wordpress using QuickInstall on the Host Gator portal.

What does the index.php mean and can I or should I get rid of it? ??
I’m about to pay some company to try to fix this problem cause I’m just stuck. I’m hoping it isn’t because of my ERS plugin because I can’t operate without it. Thanks again

I recommend contacting your host (hostgator) support first, because this might be related to them. Also bring up the index.php being in your URL’s (menu links).

As a side note…I generally try to tell people don’t use host quick install features they often offer their customers. It’s often better to install WordPress yourself.

…but, contact your host and let them know what is happening; I think it’s on their side.

Regarding index.php being included in your URL, have you checked your .htaccess file to make sure it’s configured properly?
