In Media Library Plus you are not permitted to rename folders. That is because often images in the folders are usually displayed on in posts or pages and if the user renames a folder then those images would not longer appear since their URLs have become invalid. So any problems caused by renaming a folder are not caused by MLP.

If you renamed a folder manually, they you will have to delete its images from the media library and upload them again in order to update their location in the database. And if you have any of its images in posts or pages you will need to change their URL to the proper address.

Hi and thanks! It’s my fault!
1: You see the information When you hover over the “Rename” button. I would have used the create-word instead, because that was what I meant when writing this post.
2: But now I think I know the thought that went wrong. I changed a character via FTP and made some movements of files to another folder using FTP. Thus, it became ghost, which at the time led me to write the post.

Your answers and little brain rest, followed by further tests with a completely different line of thought regarding the function, shows that it works without problems even with characters as spaces.

So thank you so much, this is a long awaited addition for us who are accustomed to the folder tree view.
