Folders exist after import but not shown on dashboard
-
I have been using “Media Library Folders Pro For WordPress” (MLF) by Max Foundry for several years. I am interested in switching to FileBird, so I installed the plugin and attempted to import the MLF data.
There is no indication of success, but if I click again, I see a message stating “Already Updated”.
When I click an image in the dashboard “Media” area it brings up a page labeled “Attachment Details”. In the lower right of this page, I see a box labeled “FileBird Folder”. If I click on this, I see all the folders created using MFL, so the import was successful.
HOWEVER! There are no folders shown in the Media area of the dashboard. I got the impression I would not have to create these folders and manually move my thousands of images.
Links on my pages still point to the MLF folders, so if MLF is deactivated my site is broken. Is the import function supposed to move these files, or am I supposed to move everything to “uploads” manually?
I did the import with MFL still active. I then overwrote my entire site with a recent backup and did the import with MFL inactive. Same result.
I disabled all other plugins (except Bluehost) and switched to the WP 2020 theme. No change in behavior.
Can you clarify what my expectations should be and help with any issues? As it is now, I cannot use this plugin and begin to consider the pro upgrade.
Thanks,
Greg
