None of the folders are visible anymore, the only change is that we updated to WordPress 5.6 this morning. Is this plugin not compatible with the update? Or is there some other issue? Should I deactivate and re-install?

  • Same on my sites! Quick fix required!

I am facing the same problem.

Same problem. WP FILE MANAGER shows a blank grey screen with no folders or file accessible. Same in all browsers.

same issue … but when you go to “plugins” and click on “show details” at WPFM, you see that the plugin is not tested with WP 5.6. That’s probably the culprit !?

Still offline. Can someone respond with an ETA for a fix?

The quick and dirty method to resolve here is to revert the site back to 5.5.3 or a backup prior to the upgrade to 5.6. Keep in mind that any changes between the backup and the update would be lost.

I reverted a clients site to 5.5.3 and the plugin started working again.

Thanks, Michael Kraus! Too bad WordPress isn’t as helpful as you are. As a WordPress noob I really have no choice but to wait for fix.

Any suggestions how I can access my WP files while WP FILE MANAGER is down? Again, total noob here.

It seems to be a conflict with the Automatewoo plugin. I’m not sure if we all have this plugin in common, but I get the same error in the console. When Automatewoo is deactivated Wp File Manager works again and the script errors are gone. If you also have this plugin give this a test. Also. it only happens in WP 5.6

No I do not have Automatewoo plugin and have the issue on some sites

I do not have that plugin either. I’m sure it’s a conflict with plugins, but it’s global regarding some specific functionality that is used across various plugins. And I can’t afford to remove any of the ones i’m using.

I Deactivated Wordfence Security Plugin and then it worked.
