Currently there is option to create folders per user. Which is great. But I need folders per user (for authors only) and for it to be accessible by editor (and admin).

Use case is fairly simple. Every author has it’s own folders but Editor (admin) can see all of them also.

We are currently already filtering files per user (they can’t see other authors files), but Editor + Admin can.

    Hi @pavelmares ,

    Thanks for using FileBird.

This feature you mentioned is understood and would be forwarded to our developers unit for consideration. So if possible, it would be implemented in one of the future updates.

    Kind regards,

@ninjateamwp thanks for such quick response. Great to hear, but is there a way with hooks how to do that now?

Functions are there, all I need is one or two hooks when loading these folders. Or so I think,

    Hi @pavelmares ,

Sorry, but before we integrate any new features, we consider a lot of things and in this case, this feature can only be determined by our developers unit if possible.

    Kind regards,

Hey @ninjateamwp I am not asking for feature. I am asking if this is possible via hooks already in plugin.

That was the point of my second comment. It is or it is not possible in current state of plugin?

    Hi @pavelmares ,

Of course, anything can be possible!

But I have to be clear with my responses to you as a user in need of a function, that we do not suddenly support space for customizations into our plugin without our prior consent and determination (from the developers unit). So there is no way you would customize FileBird with hooks or codes and then get supported if any issues.

So, the best way to do it,is to suggest us a new feature (which you have done), then allow our unit to look into it and if possible, we will integrate it in the plugin.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    -Bruce-
