    Hi @lunaluce,

    The last update 1.9.4 includes a setting to choose the behavior when the payment method could not be saved in the Vault.
    Previously, the plugin did not allow subscription payments when the payment method could not be saved. But now there are multiple options to choose from: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#subscription-flow
    Under certain circumstances, PayPal may still fail to save the payment method in the Vault for renewal payments, but then the initial payment could at least be automatically captured.
