Hello, After have been investigating and check several configurations I′m not able to see the font awesome show on web.
I had tried 2 different themes.
The cache and CDN are WP Optimize and Jetpack with CDN i3.wp.com

Even with these 2 plugins deactivated, the results are the same.

I have a VPS server with Nginx and tried with and without additional settings with location headers…

I have tried with all possible settings combinations inside the FVM without success.

I also tried using ignoring files and doesn′t work.

It′d be great to receive some additional input to try to solve this issue that I already saw in other Topics with no resolution.

By the way, the rest of the Plugin Performance is the better I found so far. I reach The highest results in Gmtrix and lighthouse only using this plugin and saving space avoiding other 3 plugins …

There are several options specific to fontawesome, which only work when fontawesome has a dedicated css file, named with fontawesome on the name. If your fontawesome file has a generic or different name, it will simply be merged together.

Dd you check the css log on the status page?
Are you sure the code is not being merged already?

Also, if you have fontawesome 4 and fontawesome 5, they are mutually exclusive.
Fontawesome 5 is not backwards compatible, so some icons may not show at all.

What other topics related to this one, did you see without resolution?
All topics closed, were either solved by me or the users who closed them.

Please provide more details, with and without fvm installed.
Screenshots will be appreciated. Url too, please.

    Hello Raul,

    Thanks for your answer.
The font-awesome does not have a different name.
Status pages says “There are no merged CSS files listed here because you are inlining all CSS directly.”
No, we no have any other plugin or theme that merges HTML…

Check https://allgrass.net and https://allgrass.es and you can see that the icons and social icons show with errors. This 2 url has different themes.

Sorry about the topics, I mean the resolutions do not work for us.

    I saw it, thanks.
The issue is with jetpack cdn or speed settings.

All speed optimization settings on other plugins, except full page cache shroud be disabled. Disable the wordpress cdn (which is slow anyway) and purge FVM cache.

After that, purge any server or other plugins cache and it should work.

If you need a free cdn service, I suggest adding cloudflare.com free plan, which will be faster than jetpack.

    Many Thanks, Raul,

I followed your recommendations: delete Jetpack Plugin and shift to Cloudflare. The speed′s more or less the same as many other variables are in play like traffic, cdn status and capacity in some rush hours etc..

The results about the icons are solved but some new issues appear.

The banner and the slider display randomly. The slider run ok but if you refresh the page slider runs without showing the images..

You can keep using cloudflare, only those settings should be disabled.

As for the images, open your google console log.

To open the developer console window on Chrome, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl Shift J (on Windows) or Ctrl Option J (on Mac). Alternatively, you can use the Chrome menu in the browser window, select the option “More Tools,” and then select “Developer Tools.”

There are many warnings there, for the server Content Security Policy and some 404 errors.

You also seem to be using mod pagespeed on the server, which causes all sort of errors.
For example, you have a 404 error on this image
    https://allgrass.es/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/xcesped-artificial-allgrass-scaled.jpg.pagespeed.ic.jo0ixhqUxQ.webp

Note how the server is rewritting the image by appending .pagespeed.ic.jo0ixhqUxQ.webp into the actual image.
If you copy paste this into wp-admin and save it, you will have issues in the future when you switch servers or those temporary images are deleted.

    Turn off mod pagespeed.
Check the server Content Security Policy.

Ask your host to do those changes if you don’t know how to do it.
