Font Awesome Issue

  • Font-Awesome is still being enqueued in the page header even when it’s disabled. It’s causing multiple 404 issues as it’s not implemented correctly. I had to go into the code and comment out every line that is loading that stylesheet, which contains relative links to the woff2 file, not a good situation. I even tried going into the db and setting the value manually not to load it, didn’t work. This may work in some situations but not with asset optimization, caching, and other things needed to speed up WordPress sites.

    Hey Richard,

    Sorry about any issue! I’m wondering if you have any other Smash Balloon plugins installed. You will likely need to disable the icon font in all of them to remove font awesome from the source.

    Otherwise is it possible that another plugin is adding font-awesome? Feel free to send a link and I can have a look as well.
