I’m going to try adding my own tiny font. Only using the + and – icons from the Font Awesome set, it seems unnecessary to load all 200+ icons.

Is there way to remove / deregister the bundled Font Awesome font so it won’t bloat the page?

Here is an action hook do_action( 'getwid/icons-manager/init', $this ); where you will need to call deregisterFont for the fontawesome.

Here’s my simple snippet I added to functions.php (actually via Code Snippets plugin), to deregister the default Font Awesome free bundle.

add_action( 'getwid/icons-manager/init', 'my_theme_getwid_deregisterFont' );
function my_theme_getwid_deregisterFont( $manager ) {
	$manager->deregisterFont('fontawesome');
}

It works. But please let me know if there’s something to improve here.
