the body text font of my website has literally changed overnight. i don’t think i edited anything (apart from downloading yeost SEO plugin, but i don’t imagine that that changed anything), and i have no idea how to fix it. the font is correct in the editor and should be Albert Sans, but is displaying a hideous times-new roman esque font on the actual website. does anyone know how to fix this? also, i’m a total wordpress newbie and will need some clear instructions to fix it ??

Hi @neuropsyched, I understand how frustrating it would be, and I’m happy to help.

There are several possible reasons why your custom fonts may not be displayed on the front end. But first, for more clarification, please let me know about:

    1. What are your current page builder and theme?
    2. Are there any WordPress products that you have installed recently?
    3. What plugins/themes have you updated recently?

The first method here is to check for theme/plugin incompatibility in these steps:
    – Switch to a default WordPress theme
    – Disable all plugins/themes
    – Reactivate them one by one and check if the issue is resolved

If you find out which one is causing the issue, you should contact their support team and let them know about it.

Meanwhile, you can check for other factors. Most likely, the fonts are cached, so try looking at your website in a private window. After that, clear your cache and check again.

Please try these steps and let me know how it works on your end.

    Hi,

My current theme is Exmoor. I don’t think we’re using a specific page builder? Just whatever the default is.

I just upgraded to the Business plan yesterday and installed the Yeost SEO plugin. I tried clearing my cache and going to a private window, but nothing changed.

Thanks for letting me know @neuropsyched,

The best thing to do here is to run a theme and plugin compatibility test in these steps:

    1. Switch to a WordPress default theme, “Twenty Twenty-Three”. Then check again to see if it resolved the issue.
    2. Deactivate all your plugins
    3. Reactivate and check them one by one
    4. If the problem is fixed, the plugin you deactivated was the culprit

Also, check your console to see if there are any errors there. You can find them here:
? In Google Chrome, open Chrome Menu, select More Tools > Developer Tools
    ? On macOS, use Option + ? + J
    ? On Windows/Linux, Shift + CTRL + J

This also happened to my site: font changed from sanserif to Times overnight + displays correctly in editor but not on webpage.

I have deactivated all the plugins and that didn’t help. Please help!
