    Hello,

I’m really excited about the new WordPress font library and how it allows us to host fonts locally, especially as I had concerns related to Google fonts and GDPR before. However, I’m a bit confused after using the font library feature in WordPress. I use a privacy policy plug-in called Complianz, and it’s saying that after using the font library feature, I have two cookies on my site related to Google fonts which are:

    – Google Fonts API

    -wp-font-library-google-fonts-permission

I did connect to Google servers through the font library in order to install the fonts, but I made sure to revoke access to Google fonts immediately afterward.

Are these cookies still a privacy concern for GDPR? Or is there a way to remove these cookies from my website after using the font library feature? Thank you very much for your time!

  • The cookies will probably be generated by another plugin or your theme. WordPress itself does not generate them automatically. You would have to check which plugin is responsible for this, possibly by deactivating all plugins and then reactivating them step by step.

Thank you for your response, @threadi! I will try deactivating the plug-ins. ??
