Font option disappeared after migration

Hi, I recently had my site migrated from wordpress.com to self-hosted WordPress. The typefaces/fonts I had chosen changed in the process and I’d like to change them back. On WordPress.com I could go to Appearance > Customize > Fonts but on the new site there is no option to change fonts here. The tab is just gone.

I had a problem with the portfolio not displaying but this was easily solved by turning on Portfolios in Jetpack’s Custom Content Types. I wondered if there might be a similar quick fix to the fonts going missing before I investigate font plugins.
