Font Problem on Windows Phone

  • In the mobile view of my website using a Windows Phone (Nokia Lumia 900 — Windows Phone OS 7.8), the MENU icon (3 Bars) and the SEARCH icon (Magnifying Glass) display only a square empty box instead of the icons. When my website is displayed on an iPhone, the icons display correctly.

    I have been unable to track down any graphic files used, so I assume these icons are generated by FONTS, which are not available to the Windows Phone.

    If this is the problem, any suggestions on how and which files can be patched to load an alternative graphic file for each button/icon.
