Font Selection DropDown on Product Page

Each variation can have its own variation image, and in your case that could be an image of some text in the relevant font. When the user changes the font drop-down, the image will flip.

If it was done the way you suggest it would be on the assumption that every user has every one of those fonts available on their OS, computer and browser. That’s not the case. Where a web page specifies a font that is not available on a particular system, the browser, trying to be helpful, will substitute the nearest font it has available, which is not what you want. The page might look good on your setup but look quite different for your customers. An image of the font gets round this problem.

A drop-down composed of images sounds like a custom coding job.

There are some plugins with “swatch” in their name. They allow you to setup the variations as a series of large radio-like buttons, each with an image.

The free ones are likely to be a bit limited for your application but you can try them to see if its the way you want to go.
