• Hi There, I really hope someone can help me out here, I removed wordpress from my domain and reinstalled it in another directory and now everything is fine except that I don’t have the font selections (size and other options) in my pages and posts. So basically I can’t change the font and size of my text.
Does anyone know how I can get that menu back?

    Thanks,
    Wendy

Click the most right button above the textarea in the visual editor

I’m having the same problem and the ‘kitchen sink’ icon isn’t even available. I’m only getting one toolbar and that is in HTML not in VISUAL.
Have deactivated all plugins and still have the problem.
Have cleared cache and that hasn’t worked either…………..

By default you don’t get the ‘kitchen sink’ in the HTML editor.

I don’t get the ‘kitchen sink’ AT ALL………..
I’m only getting one toolbar and that is in HTML. When I click VISUAL I get nothing, nada, zero… no font selection, no spell checker, no sizing font, no colouring font………..a whole row is missing.

install TinyMCE Advanced plugin see that helps

    Thanks , tried that, didn’t work ??

Switch to default twenty ten theme to rule out theme problem.

    Did that, didn’t work ??

    try
    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress
    – clear your Browsers cookies and Cache

    Done that…. ?? Didn’t work.

Visit https://yoursite.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php and look for any PHP errors or warnings at the top.

Add define( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ); near the top of wp-config.php. That would make WordPress admin run slower, so can try removing it in a few days and testing again (this would eliminate any stale network cache)

Some people also reported success redoing the upgrade via Tools->Upgrade->Re-install automatically, then clearing the browser cache.

    Try another browser

Confirm that Your Profile, “Disable the visual editor when writing”, is NOT checked.

I did the ‘link’ that you put with my own site, i just get my own site with a box saying: Not Found

Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.

Have tried another browser, tried google chrome and IE – same problem.
I did the reinstall – tools-upgrade etc.. didn’t help either

and I have checked all users are fine ??

I’m pulling my hair out with this, it’s a real pain.

    for troubleshooting:
Switch to default twenty ten theme and deactivate all plugins

if you have used the link and get a “Not Found error”, delete the wp-admin and wp-includes folders (important that you delete) and re-upload the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
