Follow up to this = on checking through things and re-reading info, I notice that I dont have an options framework onboard in this setup.
I thought I’d odner something silly like not activate the base theme before child, or somehing, but on doing that again today, on changes happened.
I added the options framework plugin, however when I try to activate I get this error on line 57
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare optionsframework_init() (previously declared in /home/litrdjpt/public_html/wp-content/themes/Quark-master/inc/options-framework.php:35) in /home/litrdjpt/public_html/wp-content/plugins/options-framework/options-framework.php on line 57

so from that I’m guessing that the framework is there, but dfor asome reason I dont get to see any of the controls themselves.
How can i go about fixing this, or is there osmething lese I could add – a different framework with controls perhaps – that will get me full access without the need to rebuild fully??
Thanks in advance for any help, folks

Hi. Quark uses the Options Framework so there should be no need to include the Options Framework Plugin. All this is used for though, is to create the Theme Options page (Appearance > Theme Options).

If you want to change the font sizes, then you’ll you need to do that by updating style.css in the theme (or preferably) in the child theme.

If you plan on using visual Composer with the theme, then you also might want to check that it isn’t overwriting font sizes as well.
