    Hi,

Is the only way to alter the font size, by inserting either code in the table, or custom CSS?

Do the PRO version make it possible, to simply style the table (on a table by table basis), i.e. choosing font, font size, color etc. Or this only possible with CSS?

I use TabelPress for a number of different tables, and in some cases the table is too big. Making the font, rows etc smaller would really help? Possible in PRO version, or only via CSS?

Using Elementor with ElementsKit, but this does not support fontsize changes.

    Pls. advise

    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

The TablePress Premium versions come with a Default Style Customizer feature module, see https://tablepress.org/modules/default-style-customizer/. This allows changing the table’s default style, which currently includes the colors and padding, but not yet font properties (this is planned for a future version). The default style is then applied to all tables.

Changing the styling of individual tables is then possible using “Custom CSS” code. While this might look intimidating at first, it’s a very flexible and straightforward approach that is quickly learned. For some examples for that, please see https://tablepress.org/faq/ Of course, as part of the priority email support that is part of the premium versions, I’ll be happy to assist with any related questions.

Furthermore, the premium versions come with Row Highlighting and Cell Highlighting feature modules, which are very useful if you want to apply styling based on the content of the rows or cells (e.g. highlighting special rows or cells).

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

This was exactly my question. When I go to use the CSS code, it only seems to recognize the first input. I used the styler to change the colors of the headings. but when I use the code to change the fonts, it seems to ignore it. I, too, am trying to make the tables smaller.

    Hi @jspector106,

Can you clarify what you mean? What do you mean with “first input”? Can you maybe post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

Here is a screen shot of my custom CSS code. I got it all from your site. Not an expert by any means.

    Thanks for your help,

    Hi @jspector106,

ah, just one minor thing: The?N?in the first line of the new code needs to be changed to the ID of the table in question (or use?.tablepress?as the first part of the selector to have this code apply to all TablePress tables on the site).

Can you please try that? If it still doesn’t work, please get in touch via email to the address from the “About” screen of TablePress on your site, and we will look at this as part of the direct priority email support ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
