Font styles not appearing in Featured Post showcase template

Hello,

A sticky post that has some words in bold, do not show up as bold on the Showcase template. But when ‘Continue Reading’ is clicked, the bold fonts do appear in its single post.

Does anyone know how the bold fonts, italics etc can also appear in the featured post/slider area?

When I look at the source, I see that all style tags are stripped from the featured post. How can I set it so that it won’t strip HTML tags?
