Fontawesome

  • Hello together,

    under wp-content/themes/sydney/fonts I find some fontawesome fonts.
    Is it possible to use them instead of the google-fonts without further plugins?

    Yes, you’re right. Sydney comes with Font Awesome.

    On which part you’d like to use Font Awesome instead of Google Fonts. Can you be more specific?

    thank you for your response!

    Currently I see that on the homepage the railway font of google is used by default.
    And I wondered (because of the DSGVO and Privacy stuff) about a very simple out-of-the-box solution to replace this font with another basic font that doesn’t load further ressources

    @thalakus if that the case, you can’t use Font Awesome installed in the theme. Because it isn’t for site text. But specific for icons that are shown on particular areas.

    You can choose your own font for text to install directly to your site by the help of this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/use-any-font/. Hope that helps.
