FontAwesome Icon in Site Title

Your plugin is great! Works like a charm. One thing I’m trying to do is put a FA icon in the Site Title. For example <i class=’fa fa-home’></i>. When I open the customize window, I see the home icon perfectly. However, when I close the customize window, it disappears and the raw code appears. Am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
