• Hi
Hoping someone can help. I am not a developer but run the site myself. The last few days have had problems with FooGalleries, basically any edit attempt to a gallery would lose connection and my site would be down for about 3 hours. Then it would re-appear.

I updated the plugin and now none of my galleries appear anywhere. They are all absent but all exist perfectly normally. So far as I can see everything looks normal except, I cannot edit a gallery, for example add new photos, it just doesn’t respond and the galleries don’t appear front end at all. This is a bit crucial for me, displaying photos, being a photographer.

I have de-activated all the plugins except the Foo plugins but that did nothing. No change. They are now re-activeated.

I don’t know what to do now.

    Can anyone help please.

    Thanks

    Matt

Sorry, I put an extra w in the website link in my original post.

    This should work:

Today the galleries re-appeared but now, again, whenever I try to edit a gallery, for example add media, after selection I get this

Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.

    and my site is down.

I cannot fathom the reason so if nobody can help my only recourse will be to dump FooGallery and use something else.

I’d like to keep them but this is costing me in time and possibly lost business.

    Anyone?

    Matt

    hey Matt,

Sorry you are having issues, but this is the first time I have heard of this sort of problem. One thing to try is to enable WP_DEBUG to see if any errors are popping up when editing a gallery. A gallery is really just a custom post type, this is not anything custom and is part of WP core.

The only thing I can think of is to drop me a mail with login creds for your site and FTP, so I can try to see what is going on. Email me brad [at] fooplugins.com
